Barcode encyclopedia : Symbology maxicode
- originally assigned as UPSCodeMatrix code created by United Parcel Service in year 1992.
Is created in 1x1 inch from 866 hexagonal points. This available make about 15% better density as barcode with square points.
But one problem is in needing better printers.
In center of barcode is symbol - "bull-eye" - for centering scanners.
In one square inch can be stored 100 ASCII chars, barcode is readable to destruction smaller than 25%
